Peters trail information

Information for participants

Please find listed below practical information for Peter’s trail participants.

There will be first aid supplies at all service stations along the course. For urgent help, contact the national SOS emergency center directly by dialing 112. Download official GPX file 52 km and relay here.

The GPX file must be downloaded to the participant’s watch or phone. Please see more under Mandatory gear.

Competition numbers

Competition numbers will be available for runners at each starting area. These will be available 90 minutes before the respective start. Competition numbers must be worn in full view on the chest throughout the race.

Self-sufficiency

Peter's trail is a self-sufficient race to the extent that runners are expected to carry the appropriate gear, energy sources and fluids between service stations. Runners are also expected to handle changing weather conditions as well as other situations that may arise. Participants must carry all mandatory gear during the entire race in a backpack or vest and are not permitted to change this piece during the course of the race. Race management has the right to verify at any time during the race that a runner has all the mandatory gear listed under the paragraph "Mandatory gear." Failure to do so may result in disqualification from the race.

Personal assistance and accompanying running, also known as pacing, is not permitted. Running with animals is, however, permitted, but this will happen entirely at the owner's risk and responsibility. Peter’s trail is not responsible for injuries or accidents that occur.

Gear

Ultra-running is an extreme form of running. It is critical that each runner carries all “Mandatory gear" throughout the race to ensure safety. Runners who do not bring or carry the required gear may be disqualified by race management. Mandatory gear may not be changed or left at a service station and must be carried throughout the race.

Runners are free to bring gear that is not listed as mandatory. Poles are permitted. Runners who choose to use poles must carry them throughout the race from start to finish. It is recommended to bring a power bank to be able to quickly charge a phone or a watch if needed.
